Ar. Mohamad Pital Maarof Bsc.Arch, University of Texas at Arlington B.Arch, M. Arch, Pratt Institute NYC

Pital, born 1967, studied architecture at the University of Texas (Arlington) for his bachelor’s degree and then at Pratt Institute NYC for his master’s degree.

After his stint in the States, he practised at the offices of TR Hamzah & Yeang for 9 years where he was responsible for projects ranging from mass housing schemes to high rise office blocks. His notable completed works are a 42-unit bungalow project in USJ 17, Subang Jaya for SIME UEP Homes and 75-unit 2 1/2 storey link houses in Bukit Antarabangsa for Metrolux Sdn Bhd. Most recently Pital designed and oversaw the construction of Mutiara Mesiniaga, a 5-storey office building in Penang for Mesiniaga Berhad.

Pital also enjoys teaching and he has conducted numerous lectures at CENFAD on the subject of interior architecture.

In July 2003, he established arkitek pital, working in colloboration with sow[allan sdn bhd.
